How to play

  1. 1Standard FIDE movement rules. White moves first; colours swap on every rematch.
  2. 2Castling, en passant and pawn promotion (choose queen, rook, bishop or knight) are supported.
  3. 3The server validates every move with the chess.js rules engine — illegal moves are rejected.
  4. 4Checkmate wins. Stalemate, insufficient material, threefold repetition and the fifty-move rule are automatic draws.
  5. 5You can offer a draw (your opponent may accept or decline) or resign at any time.
  6. 6There is no clock in this version.
